Mississippi State (15-3) swept Saturday's doubleheader with their 4-0 victory over the visiting University of Central Arkansas Bears (13-6) to earn their third win of the weekend.
Although the first two innings were quiet for both teams, things got exciting fairly quickley for Mississippi State in the 3rd inning. After a Loryn Nichols single and a fielder's choice got Amanda Ivy on base with one out, she stole second to set herself up in scoring position for Katie Anne Bailey. Bailey would respond with a 2RBI home run that bounced off the scoreboard to take a 2-0 lead in the 3rd.
