It wasn’t pretty, but the Mississippi St. Bulldogs defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 28-21. Mississippi State didn’t lead until the final minute of the fourth quarter.
The game got off to a bad start for the Bulldogs, and the team almost didn’t recover. After a three and out on the Razorbacks’ opening drive, the punt would hit Cameron Dantzler’s head and Arkansas would recover in Mississippi State territory. The Razorbacks would score three plays later.
On Mississippi State’s second possession from their own 5, Nick Gibson fumbled the football and Arkansas recovered in the end zone for a touchdown and went up 14-0.
