Ben Howland has officially guided the Mississippi State basketball team out to the quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament. Tonight, Howland’s team will play the Louisville Cardinals and will attempt to move on to play in New York City.
Mississippi State will be facing a tough opponent in the Cardinals. Louisville’s offense is scoring 76.1 points per game while their defense is giving up 70.1 points per game.
MSU, on the other hand, is winning its games with a slightly slimmer margin of victory. The Bulldogs’ offense scoring an average of 73.6 points per game while its defense is holding their opponents to 67.
