STARKVILLE, Miss. – A four-run eighth inning sealed the deal for the Mississippi State baseball team to come from behind and capture a huge win over No. 1 Florida in the opening game of a three-game Southeastern Conference series at Dudy Noble Field.
MSU trailed 3-0 going into seventh inning. The Diamond dawg comeback began when Elijah MacNamee hit a two-run home run. In the eighth inning, Jake Mangum hit a two-run triple to complete the comeback and give MSU a 4-3 lead.
MSU improved to 29-24 (13-15 SEC), while Florida fell to 41-13 (20-8 SEC).
