In Hoover, Alabama, the Mississippi State baseball team (27-22 overall, 11-13 conference) faced off against Troy (32-17 overall, 14-10 conference) last night. And, though the Bulldogs needed extra innings to come away with a victory, Mississippi State still won.
The game between the two teams was a back and forth affair through the entire evening. Mississippi State took an early 2-0 lead in the 1st inning only to see Troy cut it to 2-1 an inning later. When MSU extended the lead to 3-1, in the 3rd inning, Troy claimed the 4-3 lead in the 5th.
