Nothing about the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ game against the Vanderbilt Commodores was good. Well, I take that back. Ethan Small pitched well and Tanner Allen hit the first home run of his career. The Bulldogs fell 10-1 today and dropped the series after losing 5-0 yesterday.
Small took the mound for MSU and actually performed well in his start. Small threw for 6.1 innings, struck out 8 batters, and allowed a single run to the Commodores.
In that time, Small kept the Bulldogs in the game and challenged his opponents. That run came in the 1st inning off of a wild pitch.
