Last night, Mississippi State baseball couldn’t muster more than a single run. This afternoon, the Bulldogs exploded offensively and won 7-2 against Auburn. The win evens the series for Mississippi State and gives the Bulldogs a chance to claim it tomorrow afternoon.
Hunter Stovall started State’s scoring in the 3rd inning and got MSU moving throughout the game. In 5 at bats, Stovall tallied 3 hits and 3 RBIs. His first was a single to center field, giving Mississippi State a 2-0 lead.
After that, Marshall Gilbert hit a double to right center field, pushing Mississippi State’s lead to 5-0.
