Everything went right in the series opener for the Bulldogs as Mississippi State took down the Mizzou Tigers tonight.
Dakota Hudson got back on track and regained his early season form as the Mississippi State Bulldogs (31-14-1, 13-9 SEC) took down the Missouri Tigers (24-23, 7-15 SEC) with a score of 8-2. In 41 at bats, State racked up 19 hits to hit .463 on the night. Of the 19 hits on the evening, four were for extra bases, including two home runs.
The Tigers actually struck first on the evening and brought in a run in the second inning after a couple of singles and a one-out RBI groundout to take a 1-0 lead over the Bulldogs.
