Mississippi State and Louisiana-Lafayette have agreed to a “Home-and-Dome” series for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, the schools announced Thursday.
The Bulldogs will host the Ragin’ Cajuns on Nov. 3, 2018 at Davis Wade Stadium in Starkville and then travel to New Orleans to play in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Aug. 31, 2019. Louisiana-Lafayette will serve as the home team for the 2019 game.
“This series makes sense because MSU gets a home game, followed by a neutral-site contest in a destination city our fans can get to easily,” Mississippi State athletic director Scott Stricklin said. “The opportunity to open the 2019 season in the Superdome on Labor Day weekend is a huge plus.
