HOOVER, Ala., – For the third time in four years, Alabama was projected to win the Southeastern Conference championship by those in attendance at SEC Media Days.
The Crimson Tide received 223 votes to win the league outright ahead of LSU, who finished second in the vote total with 59. Tennessee (29), Georgia (7), Florida (5), Ole Miss (4) were also picked to win the conference by media members along with one vote each for Texas A&M, South Carolina, Vanderbilt and Arkansas.
Alabama was also picked to win the Western Division with 246 votes followed by LSU (76), Ole Miss (5), Texas A&M (3) and Arkansas (1).
