Mississippi State held pretty close for a while, but LSU broke the game open in the top of the 9th with four runs to secure a comfortable 11-4 victory.
State now has a losing record overall, 23-24, and is assured of a losing record in SEC play (7-16) for the first time since 2011. It’s been an awful year.
Luke Reynolds continues to hit, going 2 for 5 in this game. Reid Humphreys also continues his power stroke at 2 for 3…he guided a three run 4th inning which made the game close at 6-4 before the Tigers pulled away.
