Lowe, Hudson named All-Americans

Mississippi State first baseman Nathaniel Lowe and pitcher Dakota Hudson were each selected as second team All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball on Thursday.

Lowe is the only Bulldog player to start all 58 games and leads the team with 81 hits, 20 doubles and 48 RBI. The junior is also batting .355 with five home runs and has only committed two errors defensively.

Hudson, also a junior, is 9-4 with a 2.35 ERA through 15 starts this spring. He has struck out 107 batters and walked 30 through 103 1/3 innings of work.

Collegiate Baseball selected Kent State pitcher Eric Lauer as its National Player of the Year.
