Joe Moorhead just lost one of his most valuable assistant coaches to the biggest empire in all of college football. Charles Huff, the former running backs’ coach for the Mississippi State football team, is moving about 90 miles east of Starkville to go join Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide.
That’s a huge move for Alabama after Saban lost many of his assistant coaches. It’s also a horrible loss for the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Huff is an incredible recruiter and was brought to Starkville alongside Joe Moorhead to help build the Bulldogs into a potential championship contender. While with the Penn State Nittany Lions, Huff recruited several high profile players to join their roster.
