Charles Cross, offensive tackle at Laurel High School, verbally committed to Mississippi State after his official visit to Starkville over the weekend.
Cross is ranked as the 11th best tackle prospect in the nation, a four-star recruit and the fifth best recruit in the 2019 class from the state of Mississippi, according to 247Sports.
The Laurel, Miss., native said said a big part of where he wanted to play college football depended on his level of being comfortable.
“I wanted to find a place where I felt most at home,” Cross said.
The 6-foot-5, 260-pound tackle also mentioned how current players helped him during his visit and the impact of Bulldogs offensive line coach Marcus Johnson played into his decision to become a Bulldog.
