Mississippi State’s Jack Kruger was named National Player of the Week by Collegiate Baseball.
The junior from Calabasas, Calif., started at designated hitter in all four of the Diamond Dogs’ games over the weekend going 9 for 16 with five doubles, one home run, nine runs batted in and eight runs scored. He also drew four walks and had an .650 on-base percentage.
Kruger is the first MSU player to receive the honor since teammate Jacob Robson on Feb. 16, 2015.
