In a weekend of games that not even Larry Culpepper could love — Charleston Southern at Alabama, The Citadel at South Carolina, Florida Atlantic at Florida, Idaho at Auburn (though the Vandals have a good quarterback and can score points) — the SEC West features a couple of big games.
“Prove it” games.
Ah, yes, those mid-to-late November games that can define an entire season, games that can lead an athletic director to offer a contract extension or begin a search for a new coach.
While many teams in the division — in the league, for that matter — use this weekend to play home non-conference games designed to supply a “W” and, just as important, take a breather of sorts before important regular-season finale rivalry games, there are these gems: LSU at Ole Miss and Mississippi State at Arkansas.
