Mississippi State quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson has been nominated for the 2015 Broyles Award which is presented annually to the nation’s top assistant coach.
Johnson has been instrumental in Dak Prescott’s development this season for the Bulldogs as well as back-up signal callers Nick Fitzgerald, Elijah Staley, Damian Williams and Nick Tiano.
Also on the list of nominations is former MSU defensive coordinator Geoff Collins, who now holds the same position at Florida.
The list of 36 nominees will be narrowed to five finalists on Monday.
