To further the completion of Joe Moorhead's first staff at Mississippi State, FootballScoop has reported that Green Bay Packers wide receivers coach Luke Getsy will be tabbed as the Bulldogs' next offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.
Getsy has served on the Packers' staff since 2014, initially serving as the team's offensive quality control coach. Prior to the 2016 season, he was promoted to wide receivers coach, a position at which he has served since.
Getsy has experience at the college level, serving as Western Michigan's wide receivers coach in 2013 under P.J. Fleck. Furthermore, he was Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP)'s offensive coordinator from 2011-2012, after stints as a graduate assistant at Pittsburgh and Akron.
