Jake Mangum has had a pretty good year. Well, it's been more than pretty good. It's been spectacular. And he's being recognized for all of his accomplishments. As part of all of his recognition, the freshman phenomenon was named the SEC Batting Champion today.
Mangum was at the top of the league with his .408 batting average and he's the first freshman to claim the title of SEC Batting Champion since Vanderbilt's Aaron Westlake claimed it back in 2009. Mangum is the first Bulldog to claim it since Brett Pirtle did only a handful of seasons ago with his .
