MSU’s left fielder and closer left the game on Sunday night after being hit by a pitch. He did play another couple of innings, but then was subbed by Cody Brown for the rest of the game. Today we learned about the extent of his injury…
This is indeed great news. It was Humphreys’ right hand, and he’s right handed. Which would really make it difficult to hit and especially throw a baseball.
Jacob Robson missed nearly a month earlier in the year with a broken pinky finger so the Bulldogs are all too familiar with hand injuries this year, in what has been a relatively fortunate year in that regard (knock on wood).
