For the third time this season, Mississippi State’s Dakota Hudson has walked away with SEC Pitcher of the Week honors.
The junior right-hander threw a complete game shutout against Arkansas on Thursday with 10 strikeouts and allowing only five hits and a pair of walks. It was the second straight complete game for Hudson.
In 14 starts this spring, Hudson is 9-3 with a 2.29 ERA, 101 strikeouts and 29 walks spanning 98 1/3 innings.
The Dunlap, Tennessee native joins Alan Johnson (2003) and Ross Mitchell (2014) as the only Bulldog hurlers to be named SEC Pitcher of the Week three times during a season.
