From Day 1, new Mississippi State basketball coach Ben Howland said the lifeline to any program is recruiting.
On Friday, he backed that statement up with a Top 10 recruiting class featuring two players in ESPN’s Top 100 —Schnider Herard (67) and Mario Kegler (32) — and three more highly-touted four stars in Starkville standout Tyson Carter along with Lamar Peters and Eli Wright.
“I am really excited about our recruiting class, and I hope we are not finished,” Howland said. “The five players we signed thus far are all of the highest quality, both in regards to their character and their skill level in addition to their drive to be great.
