Mississippi State coach Ben Howland has parted ways with Demetrius Houston.
The sophomore forward had been suspended indefinitely since Nov. 17. Howland announced during his weekly press conference on Thursday that Houston will not be on the team moving forward.
“I’ve made a final decision that Demetrius Houston will no longer be with us for the remainder of this year,” Howland said. “He’s going to look to transfer and follow other opportunities.”
Houston played six minutes off the bench in MSU’s opening win over Eastern Washington, scoring two points. He did not play in the second game against Southern and has been suspended ever since.
