In Mississippi State’s 38-28 victory over Louisiana, Kylin Hill rushed for 197 yards and a touchdown.
But what does that performance tell us about Hill going forward? Hill has proven to be the primary workhorse in the backfield and is willing to take the load on his shoulders. A junior with experience, it is only fitting that Hill had 27 rushing attempts.
While Hill will have his share of carries, he must emerge as a pass catching back. He caught 22 balls for 176 yards and found the end zone four times in 2018. For Mississippi State’s offense to become lethal, Hill will have to become a reliable weapon in the receiving game.
