Houston suspended indefinitely

Mississippi State sophomore forward Demetrius Houston has been suspended indefinitely by Ben Howland.

Houston will not travel as the Bulldogs participate in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Nov. 19-22. According to a team spokesman, Houston’s status will be reevaluated once MSU returns to Starkville.

The 6-foot-7, 201-pounder from Montgomery, Ala., did not play in Monday’s loss to Southern. Houston played six minutes off the bench in the opener against Eastern Washington and scored two points.

Houston played in 29 games as a freshman last year averaging 3.1 points and 2.3 rebounds.
