Zac Houston will not be returning to Mississippi State for his senior season after signing with the Detroit Tigers on Thursday.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound pitcher was taken by the Tigers in the 11th round (325th overall) during last week’s MLB Draft. Houston is the third Bulldog to sign a professional contract joining former teammates Daniel Brown and Nathaniel Lowe. Signees Colin Holderman and Walker Robbins have also inked pro deals.
Houston pitched in 43 games during his MSU career including six starts. As a junior, the Poplarville native went 6-0 with a 1.
