For the fourth time this week, Mississippi State senior running back and kick returner Brandon Holloway has received preseason recognition.
On Friday, Holloway was one of 43 players placed on the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, which is presented annually to the most versatile player in college football.
Holloway started the final eight games in the Bulldogs’ backfield last season rushing for 413 yards on 92 attempts. The 5-foot-8, 165-pounder from Tampa, Florida also caught 33 passes for 396 yards and five touchdowns and returned 24 kickoffs for 567 yards and another score.
