NEW ORLEANS – Kylin Hill was eating his pregame meal before Mississippi State’s season opener on Saturday when he and MSU head coach Joe Moorhead joked about the running back hitting the 200-yard mark in the first game of the year.
Several hours later, after the game’s end, Hill hadn’t quite gotten there. He did do plenty though to push State towards win number one.
Hill was a reliable, super-productive constant on a rollercoaster of a day for the Bulldogs as he ran for 197 yards to help MSU overcome upset-minded Louisiana 38-28 inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
