John Cohen and Gary Henderson are reuniting.
Henderson served as pitching coach for Cohen for five years at Kentucky and according to a source will now assume the same role at Mississippi State. The pair guided the Wildcats to the 2006 Southeastern Conference championship.
Henderson’s hire comes one day after Wes Johnson departed to become the pitching coach at Arkansas. Henderson had served as Kentucky’s head coach since 2009 before resigning earlier this month.
Henderson posted a 258-199 record with the Wildcats, won the SEC in 2012 and made two regional appearances.
