The position entering the 2016 season with the least amount of experience for Mississippi State is at tight end.
True sophomore Justin Johnson is the only battled tested tight end for the Bulldogs having played in 11 games last year and made five receptions.
Joining Johnson from MSU’s 2015 signing class is Farrod Green, who redshirted his initial year on campus. Both instantly became leaders at tight end when Darrion Hutcherson graduated and Gus Walley was forced to hang up his pads after a series of concussions.
For Green, he was thrust from being a member of the scout team to one of the primary players at the position.
