Women’s Basketball defeats Ole Miss and Vanderbilt

The Lady Bulldogs defeated Ole Miss on Thursday 80-66. Anriel Howard and Jordan Danberry led the way with 21 and 20 points, respectively. The game was in Oxford, so it was good for MSU to grab a win and go to 24-2 (12-1 SEC) on the year.

On Sunday, State survived what was called an ugly contest against Vanderbilt 86-70. Vandy shot 56.9 percent from the field, but Teaira McCowan, Howard and Andra Espinoza-Hunte each scored 20 or more points to move to 25-2 (13-1 SEC).
