Mississippi State added a commitment to its 2018 class Friday from in-state wide receiver Johnquarise Patterson.
“When I got the offer from Mississippi State, I talked it over with my mom and felt like it was the right place for me,” Patterson told GN. “Once I got the offer, I felt like Mississippi State believed in me, and they just don’t give any player an offer. They give people offers that they know are going to come there and make their program look good.”
Patterson (6 feet 1, 170 pounds), from Pearl (Miss.) High, will not be the first person in his family to play football for Mississippi State.
