Aqua Franklin is leaving the Mississippi State coaching staff to become associate head coach at Kansas, the school announced Wednesday.
Franklin joined Vic Schaefer’s staff in 2012 and in three seasons, was a part of helping the Bulldogs make one of the nation’s largest turnarounds.
“Aqua has been with me eight years as a player and coach, and while I hate to see her leave, I’m happy for her. She has the opportunity to take that next step professionally as the associate head coach at Kansas and work with people that she’s very familiar with and I’m very familiar with,” Schaefer said.
