Former Mississippi State running back Josh Robinson was issued a citation for trespassing on campus Tuesday night and set off a social media firestorm in the process.
According to university police, MSU track and field coordinator Daniel Schmidt saw a running vehicle on the track and called the situation in. Police then arrived at the scene and ticketed Robinson.
During the process, Robinson took to numerous social media outlets and blamed MSU head football coach Dan Mullen for the incident.
“My head coach, who I thought always had my back and we are family called the police for trespassing,” Robinson Tweeted.
