Former MSU golfer Ally McDonald has gotten off to the right start in her professional career.
Ally McDonald won multiple tournaments while playing for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and she found her winning ways in her very first start as a professional with a victory at the Michigan PGA Women's Open Wednesday.
McDonald started the day three shots behind amateur Emmie Pietila, who held the lead at 6-under par through two rounds. The former Bulldog made up ground by being one of only two players to shoot in red numbers in the final round, posting a 2-under par 70 for a tournament total of 6-under par.
