Flowers transfers to Co-Lin

Mississippi State’s depth along the offensive line was dealt a blow as guard Kent Flowers will spend his sophomore season at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.

Co-Lin confirmed the transfer of the 6-foot-5, 300-pounder from Hollandale. Flowers signed a national letter of intent with the Wolfpack on May 26.

Flowers appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman for the Bulldogs last season. He concluded spring practice in Starkville working as the second team left guard behind Justin Malone.

Flowers signed in 2013 as a three-star prospect from Simmons High School he earned first team All-State honors and played in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic.
