Early Saturday morning I watched College Gameday where they spent five minutes discussing how awful Auburn was, then proceeded to all pick Auburn to beat Mississippi State. In the pregame discussions on ESPN2 the analysts discussed Auburn, Auburn and more Auburn. Jeremy Johnson, Sean White, Will Muschamp, Jeremy Johnson, Sean White, Will Muschamp – rinse and repeat.
ESPN’s coverage of the game was the kind you would expect when Auburn played a non-conference rent-a-win. Sure, they had some controversy during game week which should have been talked about, but to completely ignore their opponent who is a SEC West team was irresponsible and unfair.
