ESPN picks Ross to All-SEC team

Mississippi State senior Fred Ross found a spot on the 2016 ESPN All-SEC team released on Monday.

Ross joined Alabama’s Calvin Ridley as the top two wide receivers in the conference. The two wideouts put up comparable numbers with Ross making 88 grabs for 1,007 yards and five touchdowns while Ridley caught 89 passes for 1,045 yards and seven scores although playing in two more games than Ross.

Ross, a 6-foot-2, 205-pounder from Tyler, Texas, was also a first team All-SEC selection by the league’s coaches and a second team All-SEC pick by The Associated Press.
