Egg Bowl could be moved to Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is among the preeminent dates in the entire football schedule, and it appears another big game will join the list.  Ole Miss and Mississippi State have began talks to move the “Egg Bowl” toward a new date.

The news was sparked when Ole Miss athletic director Ross Bjork made an appearance on the Paul Finnenbaum show that he had been in discussions with Mississippi State’s Scott Stricklin to move the game’s date.

Over recent years, both teams have been among the nation’s finest and moving the game to Thanksgiving Day would provide the two schools with an excellent opportunity to showcase their programs.
