Mississippi State released its 2016 baseball schedule on Tuesday which is highlighted by 34 home games and 30 contests against teams that participated in the NCAA Tournament.
Four of State’s opponents reached the College World Series in Omaha last year – Vanderbilt, Florida, LSU and Arkansas.
The Diamond Dogs open the season on Feb. 19 with a round robin weekend series with Florida Atlantic and South Dakota State. MSU continues the homestand with Memphis on Feb. 23, a round robin against UMass Lowell and Nicholls State from Feb 26-28 and Alcorn State on March 1.
The Bulldogs will then travel to Los Angeles to take part in the Dodger Stadium Classic March 4-6 against UCLA, USC and Oklahoma.
