Mississippi State was voted No. 11 nationally by Collegiate Baseball in its preseason poll released Monday.
The Diamond Dogs received 469 points, four shy of a top 10 ranking.
MSU is coming off a 24-30 season last spring and was just 8-22 in league play. Both records placed the Bulldogs at the bottom of the SEC.
John Cohen‘s club is one of nine to represent the conference in the top 40 rankings. Florida is the preseason No. 1 while Vanderbilt (3), Texas A&M (5), LSU (7), Arkansas (24), Kentucky (29) and Missouri (34) are also ranked.
