Mississippi State picked up a commitment from an under-the-radar prospect Wednesday when defensive end Aaron Morgan pledged to the Bulldogs.
“Playing in the SEC and knowing that they played well last year — I wanted to be a part of that,” Morgan said regarding his commitment to Mississippi State.
Morgan (6 feet 3, 240 pounds), a two-star prospect from Miami Carol City, chose the Bulldogs over offers from Florida Atlantic, Rutgers, Southern Miss, USF and others. Morgan played last season at Hallandale (Fla.) High, which is about 10 miles north of Carol City.
“I’m a wonderful pass rusher,” Morgan said.
