Mississippi State officially opened fall camp Monday, and coach Dan Mullen sat down with “Head to Head Radio” co-host and Mississippi State color analyst Matt Wyatt before the first practice to discuss a variety of topics, including why so many defensive staff members – but few offensive staffers – have left the program.
“I think the guys (offensive staff) enjoy the quality of life and set up they have here,” Mullen said. ” . . There’s a very good comfort here and they are a lot like me.”
Offensive line coach John Hevesy, tight ends coach Scott Sallach and running backs coach Greg Knox have been on the staff since Mullen arrived following the 2008 season.
