Simmons was the top-ranked prospect in the state of Mississippi in the 2016 recruiting class. He is facing simple assault and disturbing the peace charges for striking a woman.
Mullen did say that he has addressed it with the team. When asked who would be involved in making the decision on Simmons, Mullen responded, “A lot of people.”
Mullen had said early last week that the school was reviewing the situation. He then reiterated that stance to the Clarion-Ledger.
