Some people say 2017 was a sophomore slump season for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott – but those people haven’t seen the former Mississippi State star’s jersey sales.
Prescott led the NFL in most merchandise sales from March to November 2017 in figures calculated by the NFL Players Association.
Although Prescott undoubtedly would trade his first place in the sales list for first place in the NFC, and a spot in Sunday’s Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis, the distinction places him in rare company. He’s become just the third quarterback to top the rankings by quarter, following the New England Patriots’ Tom Brady and Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson.
