Pro football returned to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the first time in 22 years Saturday, but Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott stole the show.
Prescott, a former Mississippi State standout, was sharp early and often in the preseason contest against the Los Angeles Rams, completing 10 of 12 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns. He started in place of Cowboys starter Tony Romo, who was resting, and played the entire first half before making way for second-year quarterback Jameill Showers in the second half.
“I think the best thing about Dak is that he is extremely calm,” Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant said.
