This is viewed as a transition season for Mississippi State and the Bulldogs’ coaching staff has a lot of work to do in fall camp to identify playmakers in certain key roles. One of those spots is cornerback.
While the Bulldogs feel fantastic about safety with Jamal Peters, Brandon Bryant and Mark McLaurin, the same can’t be said about cornerback. With last season’s starters – Will Redmond and Taveze Calhoun – now readying for NFL camps, the Bulldogs are left wondering about their replacements.
While the Bulldogs do have several upperclassmen with experience, those guys have combined for zero career interceptions.
