OMAHA, Neb. — No. 7 overall seed Mississippi State baseball dominated No. 4 Vanderbilt 13-2 on Tuesday, setting up a decisive Game 3 of the College World Series finals at TD Ameritrade Park.
The Bulldogs and Commodores will play one final game of the 2021 college baseball season on Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2 to crown the national champions.
With a win, the Bulldogs will win their first national championship in any team sport. On the other side, Vanderbilt is trying to win its second consecutive CWS and third since 2014.
MSU’s blowout win on Tuesday came one night after Vanderbilt won the first game 8-2.
