John Cohen‘s recruiting class took a potential hit Friday as the St. Louis Cardinals selected Mississippi State signee Walker Robbins.
Robbins, an outfielder/ pitcher from George County, was drafted with the final pick of the fifth round (166th overall) by the St. Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals also selected MSU pitcher Dakota Hudson in the first round on Thursday.
Robbins was the Class 6A Player of the Year were he hit .477 with nine doubles, three home runs and 16 RBIs while also recording an 8-2 record on the mound with a 0.
