* Six consecutive bowl games. Before Mullen, Mississippi State’s longest bowl streak was three (1998-2000 under Jackie Sherrill). Only two other times in school history have the Bulldogs gone to back-to-back postseason games.
* 19 wins over the past two seasons. That’s another first. Mississippi State had won 18 games over two seasons just twice (1940-41, 1999-2000).
* A No. 1 national ranking. Mississippi State held the top spot in the polls for five weeks during the 2014 season, the first time the Bulldogs had been No. 1 since the school began playing football in 1895.
